Phonak has developed a completely new first-class hearing instrument line with 12 models based on the latest Savia chip technology.

The models range from compact, high power Behind-The-Ear versions to very discreet Open Fittings.

Every model can also be controlled via a tiny remote control if required.

Some of these features are outlined below:

AudiogramDirect - an in-built hearing test system!

The Savia Art models includes AudiogramDirect, a built-in hearing test system.

When you arrive at our practice we give you a hearing test with a professional test instrument called an "audiometer". This plays tones of various volumes and various frequencies into your ears through headphones.

The data obtained from this test is then used to help choose a suitable hearing aid for your hearing loss, and then to program your personal to settings into the aid.

However the original data was obtained when you were wearing rather chunky headphones ... not a delicate hearing aid, so the settings programmed into the hearing aid can be a bit away from your ideal settings.

With the Savia Art and AudiogramDirect we can repeat the hearing test whilst you are wearing the actual hearing aid you will be using!

This can lead to a much more precise fitting for your hearing loss ... without relying on guesswork and trial-and-error! 

This is especially important advantage when dealing with severe hearing losses - digital hearing aids can often be difficult to adjust to match such losses.

AutoPilot – an automatic program selector

Phonak pioneered and perfected a unique, multi-program automatic selector – AutoPilot. 

The Savia Art AutoPilot incorporates a sophisticated and proven sound classifier that regularly identifies your acoustic environment and selects one of six automatic programs. These programs cover all key listening situations: Calm Situations, Speech in Noise, Comfort in Noise, Music, EasyPhoneplus and EasyFM.

AutoPilot incorporates six automatic programs and selects the right program for your current sound environment.

The new SoundRelax feature suppresses impulse sounds while maintaining sound quality

Impulse sounds, such as bangs & crashes, when processed through a hearing aid, interfere with sound quality and add stress to listening. Some sounds, such as emptying the dishwasher or turning the pages of a newspaper, can be a daily annoyance. SoundRelax ensures that these impulse sounds are intelligently suppressed, without affecting speech understanding. Unlike other systems, SoundRelax achieves this while maintaining sound quality.

The result is less fatigue and more relaxed sound enjoyment.

The Real Ear Sound feature, restores localization to provide a natural sound experience

Key to the Savia Art  is the proprietary Real Ear Sound system. The ability to determine the source of sounds is essential to natural orientation. Real Ear Sound enables accurate sound localization by simulating the performance characteristics of the outer ear. This results in a restored ability to locate the sources of sounds.

The NoWhistle Technology is an advanced solution to the dreaded problem of feedback whistles.

This anti-feedback system is based an advanced "Feedback Phase Inverter".

Thanks to the high frequency resolution of the Savia Art, it is possible to selectively suppress feedback only in relevant frequency channels.

Also, suppression levels are selected individually for different situations based on the likelihood of feedback, as determined by the master AutoPilot system.

NoWhistle Technology features high resolution, situation-based feedback management.

The digital SurroundZoom system controls background noise.

The SurroundZoom system selectively suppresses multiple noise sources using an advanced electronically steerable microphone system to "steer away" from the noise sources.

The EchoBlock system can helps hearing in the presence of echos and reverberation.

In the presence of echo & reverberation, sounds can become blurred and distorted. Unique to Savia Art, EchoBlock  removes reverberation sound fragments to help ensure that sounds you want to hear get through!

The Wind Noise Management system helps reduce the effects of wind noise.

For hearing aid wearers, the roaring of amplified wind noise can spoil the enjoyment of being outdoors. In Savia Art, dual step Wind Noise Management, combining mechanical and electronic suppression techniques, ensures that outdoor activities are not so badly affected by wind noise.

The new Self Learning feature automatically recognises & memorises your preferred volume settings.

With Self Learning, your preferred volume, for a multitude of listening situations, is monitored and then automatically applied.

Self Learning provides automatic adaptation to situation-based user volume preferences
